Chemo Tomorrow

Hi All,
I don't know if you'all (am I suddenly from the south?) know that I will be starting chemotherapy tomorrow April 27th. My surgery went well, but after the intial pathology report came out another test was performed on one my lymph nodes. This test revealed a micrometastis - this is a very small amount of cancer. What it means is that the cancer was starting to move into my lymph nodes and that chemotherapy is necessary. I was disappointed but relieved at the same time. I don't want any of those buggers to be left floating around my body. I want 'em all dead!!! So, tomorrow it is. Mom will be taking me there and Ginger will be keeping me company. Let's just hope they don't ask us to leave! For those of you who know Ginger, when we're together we can be a little "loud". I got my wig ready - Simone and I had a fun time picking it out and although it doesn't look exactly like my real hair, it's pretty nice. I'll take pictures so you can all see how lovely I'm going to look :). Talk to you all soon.

xoxo Susan

  2. You are a strong woman..you can do this:)
I am sure you already know more than the doctors there today and know all the nurses! Boy they will start to look out for your chemo days so they can be prepared for you and your crew!!
Lots of continued prayers and love sent your way:)

  3. Susan,
You are a light to many people. Keep the light of Christ in your heart as you deal with the next treatments on your body. You are a testimony to your children by keeping your Faith and knowing that as humans we are not in control. Just remember that you are a daughter to the King of Kings and He loves You!!

  4. Susan,
As we say down here in the South, I bet y'all gave 'em heck in the chemo lab today! Even though your message brought tears to my eyes, the thought of Ginger by your side lightened my heart and made me smile. The two of you together light up every family gathering (Frosty the Snow Man anyone???), and I'm sure you managed to bring a smile to a few faces today even in the middle of your own ordeal (if you didn't get thrown out!) You are in our prayers, Susan. Sending healing thoughts and lots of love your way! Love, Liz & Bob

  5. Hi Susan :-)

Hang in there girl! I'm SO sorry to hear that you had a reaction to your first chemo...but I'm glad they were able to "fix" it. I know how tough this is, BUT YOU CAN DO IT! (did you hear the cheerleaders shouting that!) You above all people are in my thoughts and prayers. You are now walking the road to recovery.

    Lots of hugs and kisses,
    Joanne
